Great Coverage of a Great Container Home

Last week, CBS’s Sunday Morning had a story on one of Super Cubes’ favorite couples, Brie and Zack Smithey. They built an 8-container house out of used 40’ high cube containers they bought from Super Cubes.

It was so wonderful to see container homes getting coverage in general, but the Smithey’s house is a a work of art. Literally. Zack is an artist and their home showcases much of his work. The couple worked with an architect to create a great floor plan, but added their fantastic taste to make each room a true masterpiece. The results are stunning.

It has been 5 years since I flew down to watch the crane put their containers on top of their foundation. In that time, they have worked so hard to make their containers into a gorgeous home.

Since then, Zack has also helped create another 9-container home in St Louis also made from Super Cubes containers.
