Super Cubes Has an Unwanted Copycat
It has come to our notice that there is a company (we will refer to them in the rest of this blog as “Fake Website” for clarity) that has taken much of the text and pictures from Super Cubes website and is trying to pass it off as their own. They have copied large sections of text from our website to fill up their own. They have taken our pictures and put them on their own website. They have taken our testimonials (or as they call them “testimnials”) where they use the same name and give that person multiple professions. They go so far as showing a picture of the owner and a Super Cubes employee in the picture of one of the customers. We have sent them a cease-and-desist letter as well as a take-down notice to their hosting service, so we hope that it will come down soon.
While the website is still live, there are two issues that we are particularly concerned about
-
Fake Website lists their physical location as a container depot that Super Cubes often does business with. The container depot is not aware of who is running Fake Website and are also taking their own legal course to shut them down. We are concerned that Fake Website is partially stealing this container depot’s identity
-
In addition, we are concerned that if Fake Website were to scam any potential customers out of money, the customer will associate their experience with Super Cubes (because we are mentioned on Fake Website’s page), and with the legitimate container depot. We would like to be clear and on record that there is absolutely no connection between Fake Website and Super Cubes.
We do not have any desire to drive traffic to Fake Website. In the interest of protecting our customers however, we are identifying them here. Fake Website is hosted on Pro Freight Shipping Containers Dot Com. To reiterate, they have no connection to us and have violated our copyrights by using our pictures, text, and other proprietary material.
