We have a variety of different size containers to fit your every need and budget. The regular sizes that the shipping lines use are 20’ standard, 40’ standard, and 40’ high cube. We also have specialty sizes – 10’ duo cons, 45’ high cube containers and 20’ high cubes.
Check out below for some basic information on each of these or click on the links more. We have the specs for each size and pictures so you can make sure you are getting what you want.
We also have specialty containers – open-sides, open-tops, and hard-tops.
If you can’t find what you want from the pre-made length containers, Supercubes offers custom lengths.
Do you need a portable container? Will you have to move it in the future? Will you have to move it full? Do you have limited space? Super Cube’s 20-foot shipping containers are a great option.
Please note that the containers pictured in this series are all 20-foot used containers. Please note that the container pictured is a used container. For containers that have less use, see one-trip/'new' containers.
Strong and secure, 40-foot steel containers are perfect for storage, shipping, housing, or your own unique use. 40-foot containers are a great option when you need to store larger equipment or many items and do not plan on moving the container. They come in two sizes: standard and high cube (HC). 40' standard containers are 8'6' high and high cubes, or 40'HC's, are 9'6' high. Pricing is usually similar, so it is helpful to always ask for both prices.
40' High cube containers tend to be more popular than 40' standard containers. High cubes are a foot taller, thus providing more space. The other benefit is that in some markets, the 40' high cube containers are cheaper than 40-foot standards.
There tend to be more 40'HC's in use for commercial shipping—a trend that is only growing. In the one-trip/”new” market, we the 40’ high cube is often the only choice as one-trip 40’ standards are not as common as one-trip 40’ high cubes.
10’ containers cannot be commercially shipped internationally, so they have to convert to 10’ containers once they are in the US. There are 2 different ways we get 10’s. One way is what is called a duo-con where two 10’s are stuck together as a 20’ that get split apart when they come to the US. The other way is to take a 20’ and cut it down or cut it in half to make one or two 10’ containers.
45’ High cube containers offer a longer option to 40’ containers. They only come in the high cube height. 45’ High cube containers come with a set of corner posts centered 40’ apart so that they can be picked up by cranes and forklifts the same as 40’ containers, giving them the look like someone popped out the ends of them a few feet.
20's do also come in the 9'6' height, but they are not as common. They are considered a specialty container and are generally only available in one-trip condition. There are several reasons why they are not as common and you can read more on our 20’ page.
